Customer systems is responsible for operating our sites and services facing our customers. The responsibility span over
• Products and services built by our internal engineering teams (our sites)
• 3rd party systems supporting our site
• Oracle and MySQL databases
We offer our customers a 24/7 platform for their savings with high demands on availability, security and quality. We operate on a modern and efficient Linux based platform that we invest in continuously.
Customer systems is a part of IT Operations but sit together with the development engineering teams for tight co-operation in an early development stage. Customer systems also set up and develop some 3rd party systems as well as maintain them throughout the lifecycle. An important responsibility of the team is also to handle complex 3rd line support cases.
IT Operations consist of Business systems, Customer systems, IT infrastructure, IT security and IT support.
This is part of the role
As Head of Customer systems, you will lead a team of 8 engineers, five of them are system engineers and three are database engineers. You will report to Deputy CTO. You will be a part of the IT Operations management team where you are expected to contribute widely.
Being responsible for systems that our Nordic business is dependent on demands high degree of responsibility, good communication skills and good cooperation with colleagues from all parts of the company. With your solid experience from mission critical environments, preferably both operations and development, you spread technical knowledge and support the team in daily decisions. You own and continuously improve the process around 3rd line support and you embrace response time SLAs as well as system SLAs.
This is you
You have a solid leadership background backed up by a technical background consisting of a mixture of development and operations. You like to communicate and you have a true interest in building relations and creating results through your team. With a natural embedded risk awareness in your daily decision-making, you push for improvements, dare to make tough decisions, at the same time as you make sure that the team withhold a high level of system availability.
You are committed as a person so a high tempo is something that suits you very well. With your leadership skills, you continuously work for having a happy high performing team. Being an engaged leader you continuously inspire and lead by example.
An agile approach is natural for you and you have probably applied Kanban or similar ways of working earlier. Most likely, you have 3+ years of experience from leading teams and at least a couple of years of hands on development and operations expertise. Language skills in both Swedish and English are mandatory.
