This role is an opportunity for a Java systems developer to join our bleeding edge, data warehouse team. You'll be instrumental in building our large scale systems and have an interest in new systems and optimization.

Be a part of a team where big data is a reality, and where you will be given a lot of responsibility and the freedom to create the best possible data warehouse. The team has a mix of world class java developers, system architects and data architects.

Key tasks
• Perfecting the Hadoop installation, adding features, improving performance according to needs and growth, learn and evaluate new technology
• Develop software to tweak the system in place, liaise with Data Architects and platform developers
• Learn about Map Reduce and Hadoop enough to suggest an improvement

We think that you are?
• Highly skilled with a number of years of experience in Java in a fast paced environment, high performance data processing
• Experienced in Software deployment
• Academically educated within field of Engineering
• Fluent in English
• Motivated by challenges and new opportunities
• A team player that likes to discuss solutions and ideas together with developers and analytics engineers

• it would also be a pure bonus if you have:

• Experience from working at a small-but-growing IT company
• Worked with large datasets and technologies currently associated with that ? Hadoop, Map-Reduce etc.
• Played any of our games already
