Job Description

As Grants Manager you are responsible for ensuring that program implementation is conducted and developed in accordance with the strategies, policies, and working methods of Kvinna till Kvinna. You coordinate the annual planning and are responsible for the quality assurance of the programs, and to ensure that monitoring and financial and narrative result reporting are in accordance with the contractual obligations. The work also entails monitoring of funding opportunities, development of project proposals to donors, carrying out budget follow-up, anti-corruption reviews, and to finalise agreements with partner organisations. As Grant Manager you also contribute to Kvinna till Kvinna's advocacy and communication work. In addition, you are expected to follow reporting in relevant geographic, thematic and policy areas in the field of development cooperation. As we are working to strengthen the regional perspective of our programmes, this position also includes contributing to the strategic planning for the region.

The Grants Manager belongs organisationally to the Program Department and reports to the Regional Manager for the Western Balkans.

Qualifications

• Academic degree in relevant fields, such as political science, international relations, development studies, peace- and conflict studies, gender studies, human rights or law.
• Minimum fifteen years of relevant work experience of which at least ten from working with international development cooperation, and at least five from working with conflict affected areas;
• Knowledge of global and regional situation of women's rights on advocacy, gender based violence, women peace and security, women's economic empowerment, women's political participation;
• Minimum ten years of knowledge of project/results management ande experience from working with EU-funding
• Minimum ten years of experience of budgeting and budget follow-up of development projects and in identifying funding opportunities and documented experience in proposal and report writing to donors;
• Experience of handling corruption cases in complex contexts;
• At least five years of experience in training in development project cycle management, women's rights and gender awareness, gender mainstreaming development programmes;
• Experience in drafting and establishing cooperation agreements with local partners;
• Experience from working with women's rights, women civil society organisations, and from conducting gender analysis;
• Knowledge of Swedish development cooperation;
• Fluency in English;
• Advanced computer skills and experience working with the Office programmes, intranet and online platforms;
• Good time management and ability to meet deadlines.

• Knowledge of and/ or experience from working on intersectionality, including rights of women with disabilities, Roma and minority women, LBT women, refugee and internally displaced women women;
• Knowledge of and/ or experience from working in the Western Balkans;
• Knowledge of and/ or experience from working on women's rights and gender mainstreaming in Western Balkans;
• Knowledge of and/ or experience from working on legal and policy frameworks for women's rights and gender mainstreaming in Western Balkans;
• Fluency in Swedish;
• Fluency in one or more languages spoken in Western Balkans;

Terms and conditions of employment

The position of Grants Manager is a permanent position with 6 months initial probation period. Start of employment as soon as possible. The position is based at the Kvinna till Kvinna Head Office in Stockholm. The Grants Manager is stationed in Stockholm and is expected to conduct several trips per year to the region.

Kvinna till Kvinna has Collective agreement (Tja ¨nstema ¨n Idea, Unionen och Akademikerfo ¨rbunden). Goal-oriented work hours apply to this position.
