We are part of GM Powertrain, a global company with business in 17 countries and with over 50 000 employees. Today GM Powertrain Sweden has around 800 employees situated at three sites: controls-, engine development and engine production in Södertälje, integration, controls- and transmissions development in Trollhättan and production of manual gearboxes in Göteborg.
Simulation & Analysis Engineer
Work description
As a Simulation & Analysis Engineer you will both work with transmission development and method development. The transmission development is conducted in global cross functional teams and your main responsibilities will be to perform simulations and analysis in different areas such as structures, fatigue or performance behavior. You will take part in the entire development chain, from concept study to validation of a completed product. Working with method development, your main responsibilities are to take part or lead an advanced engineering project. This includes to both do a deep-dive in a specific technology field as well as leading and organizing a project team.
The S&A department consists of three different teams, Structure Analysis, System Analysis and Gears & NVH Analysis. In total we are approximately 40 engineers, spread over three different countries; Sweden, Germany and India.
We are looking for Simulation & Analysis Engineers in the following areas:
• Structural mechanics
• CFD
• Gears
• Plant modeling
• Loads and fatigue
• Shift Quality
• Clutch systems
• Vehicle performance
In addition, we are searching for
• a group leader to the Gears & NVH team
• and a simulation project representative
Qualifications
You have a Master Degree in mechanical, physics or automotive engineering. It is a merit if you have experience from similar assignments. Furthermore, you have skills in expressing yourself orally and in written, both in English and Swedish, you are proactive, act with responsibility and integrity, and like to work in a multicultural and cross functional environment, but you can take independent decisions when necessary.
