hela Sverige At Alleima we have two passions, material perfection and people! Where we are now looking for a Global Technical Support with Focus on Americas within the Alleima Tube division. Tube develops and manufactures seamless tubes and other long products in advanced stainless steels and special alloys that are used in energy-related markets such as nuclear power, oil & gas, hydrogen and renewable energy as well as chemicals, vehicles and aviation.
Your Role
We are looking for a driven and technically skilled individual who wants to take responsibility for supporting our machines, qualifying new products, and managing related processes at our production units. In this role, you will work with the entire machine lifecycle - from machine investments, commissioning, product qualifications to developing processes and work methods for machines and equipment, as well as training our employees.
You will become the company's "go-to" person for everything related to manufacturing, including troubleshooting and process development. The equipment in question includes machinery and equipment for pipe manufacturing, such as step rolling mills, furnaces, and finishing equipment.
A significant part of the work involves building and maintaining a broad network across our production units, especially in the USA, and collaborating with colleagues in similar roles and experts in the company's technical fields and processes. Contacts include production technicians, production managers, maintenance teams, and machine operators.
The job location is in Sandviken, with extensive travel, primarily to North America.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a MSc or PhD degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or Engineering Physics. Experience with complex technical equipment and associated processes is an advantage. Experience in project management and roles such as production technician is also a plus. We understand that it can be difficult to have all these competencies from day one, so we are looking for someone with the willingness and ability to learn and grow into the role.
Personal qualities are highly valued in this role. You are a structured project leader who enjoys working with different roles and creating good collaborations. You have pedagogical skills and can train and instruct others. Furthermore, you are engaged and able to clearly demonstrate the benefits of new work methods. At the same time, you have the ability to set frameworks and boundaries for how processes should be followed, particularly from a safety perspective. Fluency in English is required for this position.
