ABB's Electrification Business Area is a leading provider of a full range of protection, control and measurement solutions - enabling safer and smarter electricity flow from substation to the point of consumption. We deliver products and systems designed to connect, protect and control electrical systems, ensuring reliability, efficiency and safety for equipment and personnel. This role in particular is responsible for ABB's global offering of cable distribution cabinets, a portfolio predominantly used in the utility segment for low voltage power distribution.
In the role as a Global Product Manager you will primarily be working with the creation and execution of product strategy and roadmap. To be successful in this role you should have a strategic and business-development mindset and ability to define and plan long-term ambitions.
Your responsibilities
Follow and understand market and customer requirements and their impact on the product/system.
Take responsible for the creation and definition of the product strategy and based on this develop the product roadmap.
Able to understand the customer experience and be the customer voice into the organization.
Actively plan and execute your own working day as this is a role which requires a high portion of own initiative and drive.
Regularly follow up of business performance of the concerned product portfolio, based on the analysis define and drive improvement actions.
Coordinate with the communication team, provide inputs in order to create relevant marketing documentation for the specific segments assigned.
Keep product group, sales and channels informed on the topics related to the product such as new product/system availability, market, competition and quality information.
Your background
Minimum Bachelor 's degree within the relevant field.
Business development mindset with technical understanding- you see opportunities and bring new ideas to the organization.
Competence within the field of electrical distribution, direct exposure to low voltage distribution applications is a plus.
Experience from electrical utility or electrical installation business is a merit, but not a must
Solid communicator and doer with high level of self-motivation and result-oriented mindset.
Strong leadership characteristics with ability to inspire, develop and motivate individuals and teams.
Fluent written and verbal communication in English and ability to work as part of a cross-functional team while maintaining independent thinking.
