WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The AXIS Connect platform is a cloud platform bringing connected services into surveillance systems and other IP device based systems. This platform will together with the firmware in our devices form an infrastructure that all Axis solutions and products are using.
As Global Product Manager you will have the main responsibility for our AXIS Connect Platform as well as common services based on this platform. You will manage the entire life cycle - from strategic planning to tactical activities, this include activities such as: gathering market input, platform strategy, API strategy, roadmap planning, development project guidance, secure scalability of platform, introduction/launch of new services together with the business area teams.
You will have high focus on understanding the needs on the AXIS Connect platform from our small, medium and enterprise business offerings. You need to build an understanding for how we can develop and scale our connect platform to be able to accommodate new services attracting new partners/users and create loyalty among our existing partners/users. It is important that you have knowledge of software products and preferably from products/solutions sold as subscription services.
You will work in a team of product managers and product specialists that are responsible for Axis software solutions. Within R&D you will work with our Engineering Managers for Axis Connect Infrastructure and Services, the architect for our Connect platform as well as Project Managers to define the use cases and requirements. You will support our cross functional Business teams for Small, Medium and Enterprise Business when they are taking the services to the market. You will also work very closely with our Product Manager for Device Firmware to develop common strategies for API 's.
High level list of responsibilities:
Develop deep understanding of the competition and market needs
Create a companywide understanding of the possibilities with the Axis Connect Platform
Contribute in go-to-market for Connect technology and common services
Own and drive the platform strategies and roadmap for the cloud based Axis Connect Platform
Contribute in the definition of the solution strategies for small, medium and enterprise business
Understanding and communicating the complete solution to R&D teams
Participate in governance of Go-to-market for Services
Other information about the position:
You will be travelling approximately 20 to 40 days per year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for you who are social and an excellent team player but still very driving. As a person you should have the ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. You should also have the capability to manage and perform in a multi-cultural environment with international contracts. The position requires that you have a structured way of solving and attacking tasks and issues but yet have a flexible mindset. To like to position you have to enjoy high pace and be open to changes.
We also think that you should have following knowledge and experience:
A technical university degree including software development as one component
At least 10 years of working experience with a few years of software development
A clear interest in business and market dynamics
Experience from a Service Market and/or Recurring Revenue Business is a plus
Documented experience from working with solutions close to the market
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, fluent in English
Technical knowledge about Video Management Systems
Technical knowledge about cloud solutions
Experience from working with subscription services
Knowledge in software development processes
