Structural Designer, temp employment
Description
Our Structural designer will go on maternity leave at the end of the summer.
The position mainly involves graphical- and structural design of packaging concepts with special focus on shape, print and possibilities for IPR. You will report to Manager, Packaging Solutions.
Work is carried out in project form in an international environment. In Teams, you will work with project Leaders, research engineers and representatives from Marketing & Sales as well as with our customers.
Type of employment: Temporary employment until 31st of January.
Duties to begin as soon as possible.
Responsibilities:
• Make graphical- and structural design of packaging concepts with special focus on shape, print and possibilities for IPR
• Together with collegues from R&D, sales and marketing within Stora Enso optimize and develop end-use applications based on consumer boards and packaging materials.
• Plan and make design using appropriate tools (Adobe, Illustrator, CAD etc) for packaging prototypes and when needed develop the methodology (Innovation Material Lab).
• Take active part to support business units in customer events and exhibitions.
Requirements
BSc/MSc (Högskoleingenjör/Civilingenjör) within engineering and education in design or equivalent knowledge.
The candidate shall possess good skills in design and appropriate tools for the position.
• Co-operative skills, as well as ability to act as co-worker or leader of projects in collaboration with colleagues within as well as outside Stora Enso. Ability to function in a matrix organization.
• Ambition and capability to develop and maintain an excellent contact network within Stora Enso as well as with external R&D providers and suppliers.
• Good ability to actively market, sell and communicate the results from projects as well as services of the Packaging R&D organisation to internal customers.
• Good communication skills in English, orally and in writing.
