OPPORTUNITY DETAILS:
Please note that this is an EQUITY/OWNERSHIP opportunity to begin with -- no base salary or hourly rate will be paid for the first few months (you would receive actual ownership in the company). However, a bulk of the work that needs to be done can be completed within the first 2-3 months, so for someone who is quick to learn and has the next month or two free, this is a GREAT opportunity to earn stock in a an innovative and captivating project that's ready to take off. We do need someone who can commit a minimum of 40 hours per week for the next two months, so if you're currently working a full-time job, this is not the right opportunity for you (and you should be in a financial position where not earning a salary for the next 2 months will not be an issue). Because we?re very close to achieving profitability and/or potential outside investors within the next 3-4 months, this is a good time for you to come into the company (i.e. we're not building something entirely from scratch here). Also, you would be employee #4 and would be looked up on as one of the partners in this project,
The position will evolve:
Handle and oversee all publishing administration responsibilities including, but not limited to; royalties, licensing, title registration, and database management.
Tracking and entering all forms of publishing income; mechanical, performance, print, and synch, both foreign and domestic. This also includes analysis of royalty statements to ensure proper payment (i.e. rates, SoundScan, share, etc.).
Licensing (mechanical ONLY) all exploited compositions with proper parties. This also includes exploitation research of current catalog to ensure all uses are being tracked, licensed, and collected on.
Database Management: ensuring that all delivered titles are input into Music Maestro with all the necessary/proper info (title, split, writers).
Running reports for various internal request regarding client's royalties, catalog, and account status.
Maintain client relations and be available for any royalty/licensing related client needs.
Minimum of 1+ years experience with a music publisher with experience in royalties and licensing.
