The section Environmental Attribute and Material Management within the Environment & Fluid Dynamics department is a part of the Complete Vehicle organization and has the overall responsibility for the environment attribute area within Research and development. That includes documentation for homologation and certificates activities, ensuring legal compliance and assessing environmental impact, setting requirements cross programs and advanced engineering projects. Further the section has responsibility for a number of systems within the area, and is responsible for managing substances and materials when it comes to interior environment quality and sustainable materials.

As First Analysis Engineer Environmental attribute and material management you have the opportunity to do lot of analysis and system work as well as work within a broad circle of contacts, both across Volvo Car Group and external. Environmental regulation is expanding worldwide and IMDS, used by the whole automotive industry to comply with such regulations, becomes more and more important. There are many challenges to face in the near term future and we therefore need to strengthen our IMDS capability! In the future the IMDS can strengthen and develop the life-cycle thinking and sustainability management at Volvo Car Group.
Main responsibilities
• Manage and program databases and scripts
• Participate in/lead System Operational Development projects
• Analyse and report environmental data
• IMDS communication, support internal and external training
Required qualifications
• University degree or equivalent
• Experience from or major interest in IT-systems
• Access, VBA or other database- or programming experience
• Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
• Product documentation experience is a meritorious
Personal qualities
• High-level of self-drive and energy
• A team player with good communication and cooperation skills
• Have a holistic view as well as good sense for details
• Very good analytical capability and logical thinking
• Ability to manage large and complex amount of data
