Accounting & Company Control (ACC) is the accounting department within AB Volvo. We supply the Volvo group with key competence within accounting and we are responsible for financial compliance in all legal entities. Based on the financial information provided by us the business can take strategic decisions.
Job description:
As a Financial controller at ACC you will become part of a team with highly skilled and engaged colleagues. You enjoy working in an international and flexible environment and strive to improve the workflow and processes.
One key success factor, besides having a passion for accounting, is that you are a true team player. It also important to have excellent networking skills, as your work will be done in close collaboration with your colleagues in Poland and India responsible for accounts payable, accounts receivable and financial reporting.
You will work in a team with one or several Chief Accountants and support him/her in the responsibility for the accounting records and their accuracy within a legal entity. The purpose of the job is to provide both internal and external parties with meaningful, accurate and timely financial information. The Financial Controller will support the Chief Accountant to ensure completion of all statutory and compliance reporting for the legal entity that he/she represent.
Preferred educational requirements and experience:
• Academic degree in economy/ finance or equivalent education
• Minimum of three years of advanced experience in the field of accounting
• Experience from SAP R/3 and Microsoft Office
• Good knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
• Proficiency in Swedish and English both verbal and written
