Dina arbetsuppgifterElekta is looking for a Field Service Engineer - Nordic (based in Stockholm, Sweden). This is primarily a site based role at a group of private hospital sites offering radiotherapy services; you will have a group of hospital sites identified to support which will require travel in between the sites to ensure uptime commitments are maintained. Overall responsibilities You will be responsible for managing all maintenance activities on Elekta supplied equipment for the identified sites. Flexible working hours are required to ensure uptime commitments are met, which will require weekend and out of hours work to meet contractual commitments. You will be expected to work under your own initiative to complete the tasks required and if necessary, escalate problems or issues to the office in Stockholm. The position is based in Stockholm and reports to the Field Service Manager, based in Stockholm Sweden. Activities include planned maintenance, emergency corrective maintenance, upgrades, installation work, and report generation on a monthly basis, tool and test equipment management. http://bit.ly/13orWmE Courtesy calls to local customers and telephone support either from the office in Stockholm or from a remote location. Jobs can either be completed within 1 day or may require the engineer to be away from home for several days at a time. There is a need for occasional travel to sites outside of the Nordic to support the European region. Total travelling days per year are about 100 from which approximately 25% is in Sweden, 25 % in Denmark, 25% in Norway and 25% in Finland. All work is to be carried out in accordance with Elekta's safety instructions and procedures. Any issues or problems that may adversely affect Elekta, the product, its ongoing reliability or the safety of any personnel must be reported to the Service Manager in a timely manner. Training and assessment is carried out both in the classrooms at Elekta's office in Crawley, UK and on site as necessary. Engineers will not be deemed to be competent to install or maintain a product until the Service Manager has confirmed that the relevant competences and skill have been achieved. Engineers with the relevant knowledge and experience will be expected to guide and assess other engineers on site and advise the Service Manager accordingly. Technically the work involves a very diverse skill set including fault finding complex electronic systems down to component level, HT and RF power generation, vacuum systems, water systems, pressurized gas systems, mechanical assembly and adjustment of the radiation beam to achieve the required output specification. Upon completion of any work on site, the engineer is required to complete and submit to the appropriate manager the relevant reports and documentation.
Utbildning och erfarenhetTo have excellent knowledge and proven skills in electronics, mechanics, computers & servers, networking, high vacuum, high/low voltage & current, diagnostic equipment and a general knowledge of all engineering disciplines. . To be able to fault find and repair at board level & below. . To be highly motivated, dynamic & be a good problem solver. . To have a strong customer focus and have excellent customer service skills. . To complete the administration requirements of the role in accordance with the quality system in a timely and accurate manner. . To be prepared to work as required at times and locations dictated by the needs of the customer and Elekta. . To provide feedback to the Service Manager any problems, solutions or opportunities which may need to be communicated to other parties. . To assist in the promotion and sale of upgrades and options. . Minimum is a related engineering discipline. . Competent with relevant IT technology including Windows OS, MS Office applications, networking. . Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. . Good English and Swedish language skills - written and spoken. . Experience in a service environment. . Proven ability to manage one's own environment and complete the tasks deployed to them. . Demonstrable drive and commitment. . Driving License
