Tetra Pak Supply Chain Operations, Additional Material's mission is to manage sourcing, production and supply of additional materials. Our aim is to achieve lowest landed total cost at specified quality for Tetra Pak's global customer base. Additional materials (Caps, Straws and Strips) make together with the packaging material the complete Tetra Pak Package. The Tetra Pak Closures organisation are today supplying 36 bio caps produced in close to 200 production lines located in 5 Tetra Pak plants and another 11 external plants.
What you will do
Within this organization, we are looking for an External Operations Manager who will be a member of the Additional Materials Closures department that being the primary point of contact with the supplier external factories, drive the common agenda with each factory, securing consistency in operations at supplier sites with primary focus on quality / production / maintenance programs and systems. Securing that Tetra Pak quality standards are fully implemented for each single phase of value creation at supplier manufacturing site.
You will focus on:
Lead the supplier common agenda, on strategic business review and on shop floor operations follow up, ensuring the best relationship, performance outcome and contributing to early involvement and innovation
Drive quality audit and follow up improvement actions
Develop the supplier capability to secure a high level of equipment efficiency, by following up maintenance programs through existing continuous improvement programs (WCM, LEAN, 6 Sigma, etc)
Secure waste optimization and process capability using Benchmark from Product Process Experts.
Support budget preparation for maintenance activities and follow up spending at the designated supplier
You will be based in in Lund and working with a worldwide supplier base. Your will travel for about 50% of the working time: you will frequently have short trips of max 2 weeks
Who you are
We believe that you are a person with lot of energy, autonomy and a strong drive for results. You are able to work in an international environment You will be required to travel to different sites and locations. You are able to work together with other team members, exchanging information and supporting colleagues to achieve personal and team goals. You are also organized and systematic, with good communication skills.
To be successful in this position it is highly valuable if you have not less than 3 years of experience in the Supply Chain operations field or have worked with Cap Applicators or related equipment. In addition, a good understanding of mass production aspects is required. Also, good if you have previous experience in the field of Injection moulding or plastics materials. Knowledge of continuous improvement methodology as WCM, Six Sigma Lean Manufacturing will be considered a plus. You probably have a University degree within Engineering, and you are fluent in English, verbally as well as in writing.
