Ericsson are looking for experienced professionals who are looking for a career in Solution Design stationed at RECA Competence Domain IMS & IP, Sweden. You will design IP Backbone solutions that enhance the customer's competitive position in mobile and fixed-line market in region Northern Europe Central Asia but also globally.
Jobdescription
As IP Solution Architect you will operate during pre-sales stage and participate in the delivery projects, and can be primarily responsible for all aspects of ongoing IP network design and configuration templates within defined projects scope.
The IP Solution Architect will need to be able to conduct detailed IP/MPLS/Ethernet network infrastructure staging, develop design, configurations and documentation for network infrastructure insuring operational efficiency and alignment with the customer strategy. The solution should meet the customer requirements and the business targets and are highly scalable, flexible, standardized, secure and cost effective.

You have a genuine interest in support and network matters; you like to keep up with the latest technology trends and keep your skills sharpened, especially within the switching and routing area. You're a team player who enjoys sharing your knowledge and skills with your colleagues across other business disciplines, but equally, you can work well independently. Regardless of experience, you are a true professional who shows a thoroughly competent approach to customers and colleagues.
Travel will be an essential and required part of the job.
You should also have:
Core Competencies:
Strong communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally.
The ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and problem solve in stressful situations.
Takes a logical and orderly approach to analyzing problems, organizing work and planning actions.
Good written and spoken English
Skills, Experience and Education:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or Electrical Engineering.
Cisco CCIE /Juniper JNCIE certificate or equivalent
Minimum of 5 years experience in IT network or Telecom network with IP infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with IP equipment preferably with:
Cisco routers and switches
Juniper (E series, M/T series)
Extreme (ENS)
Ericsson (SmartEdge)
NMTP/NASI for Netscreen.
Experience in design of complex IP network architecture (multi service and multi-technology network).
Technical Competencies:
Routing protocols such as RIPv2; OSPF; ISIS; BGP
Redundancy protocols such as VRRP; NSRP; HSRP; ESRP
MPLS protocols (LDP, RSVP, MPBGP)
IP security
Hands-on experience designing large ISP networks (IP and MPLS)
Hands-on experience designing MPLS-based VPNs.
VoIP, IPTV, BRAS knowledge.
Special Requirements
The position is open only for EU or C.I.S. countries citizens;
Good written and spoken Russian is plus.
