ASSIGNMENT: Perform Data analysis for Government Analytics for two modules, Industry Balance and Municipality Ranking.
Both of these modules are used to provide municipalities with an understanding of how the local business life looks like and what potential it has for future growth. The municipality will use this as input for their strategic plans and other actions to improve growth.
Industry Balance looks at the balance in number of employees in the sectors Manufacturing, Business support and Local services. Data is based on annual reports as well as workplace data.
Municipality Ranking evaluates the municipalities future potential based on several different parameters. Data is collected from several sources.
Project scope:
• Deciding on timeframe to evaluate and prepare data accordingly.
• Verification of underlying data
• Validation of current models including retro analysis
• Suggestions for improvements and additional data to refine the models including validation.
The work is scheduled for 2024, receiving support from students aligns very well. The thesis work will take place during Q1-Q2.
