Interested in a technically stimulating opening that involves international trips where you will develop your skills in EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) and high-frequency calculations? The high frequency group at HVDC is designing high-voltage systems, and with us you will perform measurements and simulations at high frequencies. It will be your responsibility to make assessments and evaluations based on customer and regulatory requirements related to electromagnetic interference ? to and from the outside world ? in our HVDC systems. Based on the measurements, simulations, and your assessments both before construction work is commenced and after the installation, you will find applicable solutions. You will also be involved in the development of internal requirements in relation to EMC environment for installations in the frequency range of 9 kHz.
You will among other things be responsible for:
• Calculation of high frequency filters
• Design of high frequency damping circuits
• Participate in, and evaluate, EMC measurements both in verification and development purposes, such as radio interference measurements
The high frequency group works with voltages ranging from microvolts to megavolts and with frequencies from DC to GHz. With us you will get the opportunity to deepen your technical knowledge and also travel internationally when performing practical measurements on our global facilities.
Requirements:
You either have a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or a Master of Science in Electrical Power Engineering or Physics. In addition, you have a strong theoretical and practical technical interest.
The successful candidate holds in addition:
