hela Sverige The Embedded System Test Engineer devises a test strategy for embedded systems, reviews system requirements and ensures that the system designed is verifiable. The Test Engineer is the primary person responsible for developing and maintaining test environments. It is important to note that the tests performed on these system are very comprehensive since most of our products perform safety critical functions for railway signalling applications - such as determining the vehicle speed and location. In addition to the verification of the system functionality, the system test engineer may also be involved in performing type-tests for the system before formal approval.
YOUR ROLE
1. Review system requirements and design for testability.
2. Devise a test strategy for a safety critical embedded system.
3. Develop test environments for new products and maintain existing test equipment.
4. Create test cases to verify requirements and system design;
5. Test products for compliance to industry standards (EMC, Vibration, Climate)
6. Participate in field tests and fault tracing if needed
• Bachelor degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering;
• Typically 5 years of experience as a System Test Engineer, electrical background is an asset;
• Minimum 3 years of experience in embedded system design or verification;
• Experience in creating test plans/specifications for embedded systems.
• Familiarity with railway safety standards is an asset (EN 50126, EN 50128, EN 50129)
• Familiarity with type tests is an asset (EMC, Vibration, Climate tests)
• English at a business fluent level is mandatory, Swedish at a good level is preferable.
