PowerCell is looking for a Development Engineer with expertise in Electrical System Development.
At PowerCell we are working hard at delivering powerful hydrogen powered fuel cells and systems to our customers around the world. The demand for our products is steadily increasing and we're at the forefront of fuel cell development. We now need to strengthen our Systems Integrations team with an Electrical Systems Development Engineer.
We are looking for someone with a wide theoretical and practical knowledge of high-voltage electric vehicle systems and/or other DC power systems (typically voltage range 60-1000 V DC).
Responsibilities
o Development of safe and compliant fuel cell system products, with specific responsibility on the electrical subsystem: specification, design and testing
o Electrical integration of fuel cell systems in different applications: different types of vehicles, stationary power, marine. Collaborate with customers, external partners and component suppliers
o Specification and testing of power electronics and other components associated with electrical integration
o Commissioning and field-testing
o Technical sales support and concept development
Preferred background
o MSc in power electronics or electrical power systems
o Extensive experience from at least one of the following fields: high-voltage systems in electrical vehicles (automotive or heavy-duty), integration of DC power sources or ESS in power industry or marine (for example batteries or fuel cells, solar cells)
o Beneficial experience: Fuel cell systems, battery systems, DC/DC and DC/AC converters
Expertise
o System-level knowledge of high-voltage electric vehicle systems and/or grid-connected power systems
o Theoretical and practical knowledge of power electronics
o Related standards and regulation
o Hands-on troubleshooting and problem solving
o 2D-CAD design software used for electrical design
o Ability to collaborate with international partners, component suppliers and customers
o Ability to work in cross-functional teams
o Fluency in English, both oral and written
Beneficial
