hela Sverige Perido is now looking for an Editor/Information assistant for our client, an independent and important agency of the European Union. The position is placed at their office nicely located just outside of Stockholm city.
As Editor/Information Assistant, you have an important mission in ensuring high quality in written texts, for example external publications. You do this by focusing on accuracy, clarity, style etc. in your editing and proof-reading of publications and other written content. Also, you will implement consistent formatting and layout of texts in preparation for publication. Beyond the assignments concerning quality check of existing content, you will get the chance to write short texts yourself, such as publication abstracts, reports and other content in the web content management system of the agency. Your work involves close collaboration with colleagues, authors and experts.
We believe that the right person for this job is accurate with experience in editing and writing texts in English. You have a great commitment in reading and reviewing material thoroughly and you have an eye for details. In addition, your ability to organize your work and perform under pressure is excellent and you strive to keep a constant communication with your colleagues to achieve efficiency.

Required qualifications
• University education and relevant professional experience
• Experience in editing and writing texts in English, preferably scientific texts
• Project and time management skills
• Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Word
• Excellent command of English; oral and written
Advantageous
• Knowledge of the publishing process
• Experience with web publishing software
Contract type and hours
Full time with start in mid-January. End date 2017-03-31 with possible extension (up to additional 12 months).
