Your role
We are looking for a person with high business acumen to lead a team of about 10 co-workers and external resources, accountable for facility management and projects in Saab's sites in the Southern part of Sweden. Group Property is responsible for Saab's facilities world-wide and manage a property portfolio of almost 1.500 000 sqm - located at around 80 sites around the globe, with the majority in Sweden. In the position as Director FM South within Group Property you will be responsible for Saab's property portfolio in the southern part of Sweden, to support the core business and ensure long term cost effectiveness by delivering attractive and fit-for-purpose workplaces and premises.
You will manage a stakeholder driven organization by leading and supporting local Facility and Project Managers as well as by yourself manage projects and/or other initiatives.
In this role you will challenge and develop your team and external resources, accountable for creating a culture that enhances and promotes performance, innovation and motivation. The Director FM South reports to the Head of Group Property and is a member of Group Property's management team. Group Property is in a strong development phase, so the willingness and capacity to drive change management will be crucial for success. Our operations and your team are geographically spread on our major sites throughout Sweden so frequent travelling is required.
You will be accountable for:
* Manage and develop Saab's property portfolio and related services.
* Manage investments and capital projects.
* Proactively manage and interact with internal stakeholders.
* Manage large partner contracts within facility management, security, food & beverage, furniture etc.
* Identify and drive business development needs, including digitalization.
* Drive operational excellence and efficiency by actively contributing to Group Property's management and development, primarily through the management team.
Your profile
You are trusting, inspiring and coach your team to high level of performance. You have excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, developing strategic directions based on Group Property's mission as well as Saab's strategy and business needs.
You possess a strong business acumen and you are forward-thinking within real estate and facility management. When collaborating with stakeholders, you are confident with the ability to build relationships, influence and provide advice to key decision makers.
You have a successful track record in leadership, cooperation, stakeholder and supplier interaction as well as strategy development and implementation and deliver strategic projects.
Required background and experience:
* Broad professional experience from leading real estate, facility management and capital projects within large international organizations.
* Experienced and confident leader with knowledge in development and empowerment of direct reports and staff.
* Documented experience in navigation and efficient work in matrix organization and stakeholder management to connect with business.
* Excellent knowledge in financial steering and control.
* Relevant academic degree.
* Fluent in English and Swedish, both verbally and in writing.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
