hela Sverige Role Summary:We are looking for a Director for the Software Department in Bioprocess R&D.Essential Responsibilities:A strong and business focused development of digital and software solutions is crucial for continued growth of our business, and the department has a pivotal role to ensure continued growth through innovative products and solutions for the rapidly growing biopharmaceutical industry.You will lead and set the direction for a department of about 65 skilled software engineers, divided into 4 sections, with a responsibility for development of software products such as UNICORN and Biacore Insight, for the BioProcess downstream systems. The special focus of your department is on our highly successful software solutions for the downstream product range, e.g. ÄKTA and Biacore, covering the entire product lifecycle from innovation, product ideas, product development to supporting a mature range of products on the market. Research and development are performed in cross-functional projects, in tight collaboration with other functions, departments and customers, both locally and globally.The department director responsibility includes setting and driving the department strategy (technology/organization/competence/innovation), plan and priorities as well as leading the section managers and be accountable for the department deliverables.You will also be part of the Bioprocess R&D management team.Qualifications/Requirements:MSc or the same knowledge/experience.Significant experience in relevant product development.Knowledge and experience in software development.Proven leadership and excellent people management skills as line manager.Track record of successful cross-functional collaboration.Genuine interest in developing people and technical solutions.Ability to think in commercial terms to transform science and technology into successful products.Strong communication and presentation skills.Fluent in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.Desired Characteristics:Background in developing software and automation solutions for bioprocess and analytical systems, or closely related industry segments.Experience with system development, verification and validation is a merit.Knowledge & experience of product development models such as PRD.BioProcess business awareness.Experience in Agile SW methodology.For more information, please contact Christel Fenge, Head of Bioprocess R&D, telephone +46 70 265 3799, or e-mail
