The world is changing and so is the transport industry. As our products and services develop, so do our marketing and communication strategies. Volvo Trucks is now looking for a Director within Channel Management to further boost our relevance to customers and interest in our products and services.What will be your mission as Director Channel Management?Your primary task is to inspire, lead and support the team within channel development and governance to ensure we provide our target audiences with an outstanding experience in all of our communication channels. The team and yourself will be responsible for existing channels such as the owned digital channel e.g. Volvotrucks.com and Knowledge Hub, digital channels (earned & paid) such as LinkedIn, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, editorial content and the customer magazine. In addition you are responsible for the development of other channels to ensure an optimal experience for our customers.You will report to the VP of Global Marketing and lead a team of eight people.Who are we, your new colleagues?We are the Brand, Marketing and Communication department at Volvo Trucks; responsible for creating great global content that adds relevance to our audiences and value to our business.Main activities and responsibilitiesDevelop the strategic direction of channel development and drive the improvement of the channel mix and the tech stack to ensure an optimal audience and user experienceAct as experts on how to best use each channel and how to create the best channel mix to reach marketing KPIs by partly providing guidance and partly creating contentBuild a tech stack that creates synergies and works together with current and future systemsTogether with the various parts of the IT organisations specify and deliver tools for marketing tech stack, including CMS and Content HubWork together with the rest of the organisation to ensure that both channel mix and the tech stack road map is well anchoredWho are you?You are a leader and team player who fundamentally believes in cooperation across functions. A holistic view and the ability to challenge current ways of working within marketing and communications is key. We believe it is important that you are comfortable working with people at all levels and have experience in relationship management. You should also understand the business and the needs of our key audiences both internally and externally. You should comfortable in a multi-stakeholder environment and be able to manage relations both on the business and technical side. In addition you should also have the following qualifications:Several years of management experiencePassion for technology and how it enables customer relevanceA degree in economics/marketing or other relevant educationExperience working for large organizations and an understanding of the automotive industryExtensive experience in developing customer jouneysBackground working in an agile and iterative environmentExperience driving a change management agendaAbility to understand marketing strategies and KPIs.
