As a Experienced Design and Lead Engineer you will have operational responsibility for a component or sub-module delivery. You will drive the work from an operational perspective and needs to have a capacity to work individually or with a small team actively to secure the deliverables. You will also lead mechanical design engineering activities in a particular area and play an active role in the delivery. Integrate deliveries from others and secure quality and readiness before release. Spread knowledge and develop competence within the team.
For this position, you will lead high technical complexity in powertrain, chassi or rear suspension. Provide input in product and system roadmaps. Drive the development from research/early phases of development to product maintenance. Ensure the design fulfills the business targets/ requirements. Develop and share acquired competence (e.g. training) and provide technical advice. Manage networking across the organization, as well as influencing the work in other sites.
About you
We are looking for candidates with a university degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. You have minimum 5 years of experience within the field. Some experience from powertrain or chassis development is necessary. Experience from automotive industry is mandatory. Furthermore, you are driven, have the capacity to work individually and in a group and has a structured way of working.

Qualifications
* Bc or M Sc. In Mechanical Engineering or in relevant area
* Minimum 7 years ' experience from automotive industry.
* Experience in using Pro-E/Creo
* Living in or near Gothenburg, Sweden with a valid working permit
* Experience in agile way of working
* Fluent in English is mandatory. Swedish is merit.
