Our team, Connected Intelligence, is a group within Connected Systems at Scania R&D. In the context of connectivity, we innovate and deliver scalable analytics that enables informed decision-making for product, service, and business developers.

Your Assignment
We want to strengthen the geospatial intelligence team to further develop our visualisation and infrastructure for self-service solutions that democratize data from Scania's connected fleet of more than 500.000 vehicles. The data is derived from GPS-positions, operational vehicle data and other data sources that describe and help improve the global transport network.
You will be working in a cross-functional team to deliver repeatable and quality-assured results through self-sustained analytics services. The competencies in each team usually cover a wide range of areas, such as software development, data engineering, data science and front-end interaction and visualization of data.
The daily work is planned and carried out following agile principles, where your team is part of the department's flow. You will contribute with your core competence and be responsible for tasks assigned to you during each sprint while over longer periods contributing to the overall planning and vision of the team.
Your profile
You have an academic degree in a computer science related field or equivalent work experience.
As an experienced developer or data scientist, you are analytical, with a genuine technical interest. You enjoy collaboration with different competencies to find the best solution to a problem.
In addition:
• You understand how to turn requirements into code to continuously deliver value as you go along.
• You have a high-quality focus and an understanding of how industrialized solutions scale -what we build is what we will run in production. Continuous improvement of the development process is a natural priority for you.
• You have experience in one or more of the following areas: working with data streaming, big data analytics, cloud software development, geospatial visualisations and/or operational vehicle or transport data.
You communicate fluently in English in both speech and writing.
