The recently started hub Human-Centric Lab within at Volvo Cars is responsible for increasing the focus on human-centered research and perspectives by realising the Human-Centric Lab ideas; to combine physical and virtual product development and human-centered experimental research. The challenge consists of increasing the speed to reaching results and recommendations in the field of human-centered development and reflecting the expectations and needs of our future customers. The team consists of technical leaders and experts in the field of user experience such as User Interaction and Interface, HMI, Ergonomics, Safety, Driving Dynamics, Driver Assistance, Illumination and Design.
Joining the Human-Centric Lab means being the main Drive Me external customer point of contact as Customer Involvement Manager (CIM). This includes digital communication as well as face to face dialogue. You will also have the responsibility for coordinating our human-centric research projects. You will secure that studies, clinics and research projects are planned and performed to fit the test persons and give usable results for our technical leaders and experts in the lab team. In addition to this you will develop and form good standards and methods for doing explorative research clinics with test persons in the Human-Centric Lab.
The lab shall develop and spread expertise regarding human-centered design to support future car programs with knowledge about future customer needs, behaviours, environment and usage of our products. You are going to be part of a strong team that consists of technical experts and attribute leaders in close co-operation with other experts and competence centers.
Main responsibilities
* Lead, organise and administrate the customer interaction parts of the Drive Me project
* Secure a good customer relation as the main point of contacts
* Own the customer involvement participant pool
* Secure a good cross-functional workflow within Volvo cars such as Corporate Communication, Global Customer Experience, Product Strategy, Product & Quality, Design and the customers
* Plan, follow-up and coordinate all the Drive Me related research activities within Human-Centric Lab
* Secure that results and gained knowledge is disseminated in a good way within the organisation
* Start-up, develop and/or form good methods for doing in-house consumer clinics
* Secure that developed and decided clinic methods are used within the lab
Required qualifications
* At least a BSc degree in Human Factors, Cognitive Science or equivalent
* Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience with solid business and end customer value understanding
* Experience of working in an international environment
* Fluent in English, oral and written
* Driver's license (B)

* Working with customer relations
* Experience in working as a project manager or team leader
* Broad internal network within Volvo Cars
* Documented experience in explorative research

* A true self starter and a character of initiatives
* Ability to build confidence
* Good analytical skills
* Structured, accurate and skilled to summarize and present status of your work
