As Correlation Engineer at Vehicle and Systems Testing within the group Methodology, you are responsible for leading the correlation activities in our test beds. Your challenge is to develop and lead the correlation processes and method development. You will work in cross functional teams with other groups within the Laboratory and with our internal customers at R&D. Your technical competence, as well as your ability to manage projects and teams, should be strong so that you can make your own decisions and technical conclusions. Your mindset should be analytic and with an aim of finding solutions.
The group is responsible or supporting test processes within Lab, QA of data, method development, correlation activities, emission legislative demands and support to engine test bed operators.
Main responsibilities
• Responsible for correlation and handling correlation requests in V&ST test beds
• Plan and manage correlation method development activities through a cross functional team
• Develop correlation processes and activities within the Lab testing area
• Document correlation processes and involve necessary stakeholders to gather required inputs
• Participate in development of testing methods defined by our internal customers
• Conduct problem solving investigation when required
• Prepare and run correlation tests within V&ST Laboratory
• Support own organization and its most important parameters for correlation regarding, Test bed equipment, Measuring instruments, Test Processes and Measurement data delivery
• Co-ordinate action plans for correlation deviations within V&ST Laboratory
Required qualifications
• Minimum 5 year's experience in engine testing and/or engine development
• Very good practical and theoretical knowledge within engine testing, measurement systems, simulation of vehicle components and control of test beds
• Very good practical and theoretical knowledge within internal combustion engines, ECU and the impact on complete vehicle
• Good experience from setting up test sequences and analysis of test results
• Knowledge in engine calibration methods
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• General knowledge in development tools such as INCA, ComTest and PUMA
• Knowledge in data analysis tools such as Matlab and Sympathy is meritorious
• M Sc. within the area of Mechanical Engineering or equivalent

• High ability to plan and take own initiatives
• Curious with a very good analytical ability
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Self driven and high sense of responsibility to deliver results on time
