Position
The Controller at GVA will be a part of the Accounting & Finance team and will report to the A&F Manager. The primary responsibilities will include:
• Monitor and analyze monthly operating results against budget and forecasts.
• Manage the preparation of financial outlooks and financial forecasts.
• Participate in the coordination of the company?ss financial planning and budget functions.
• Prepare financial analysis for contract negotiations.
• Prepare cash flow analysis.
• Support the department managers and corporate staff to develop long term business plans for the company.
• Participate in the monthly reporting processes within the A&F department.
• Responsible for part of the month end close process including making entries in the G/L
• Participate in the development of processes within the A&F Department
• Assist the A&F Manager on different projects
Participate in financial audits and provide recommendations for procedural improvements.
• Obtain a thorough understanding of KBR?s policies and procedures. Ensure GVA?s compliance with these policies and procedures and remediate any variances identified on a timely basis.
Profile
The ideal candidate has qualifications and competencies which primarily include:
• BS degree or similar in accounting is required.
• Minimum 6 years experience in the role as controller/analyst.
• Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting and cost control principles.
• Knowledge of and the ability to analyze financial data, prepare financial reports and statements.
• Working knowledge of short and long term budgeting and forecasting.
• Very good skills in Excel is required
• High level of proficiency in GAAP is desirable
• Ability to work unsupervised and also as part of a broad-based team, must be considered a team player, reflecting high integrity as well as strong work ethic.
• Uses experience and problem solving skills to develop and improve processes.
• Comfortable with communicating at all levels both within the A&F Department and wider operational organization.
• Skills in ASP, Hyperion, Essbase and Smartview is desirable
• Communicates in both English and Swedish (orally and written) fluently.
• Takes personal responsibility for own career path by actively seeking development opportunities.
