Xylem is seeking a CI Manager
To our top modern factory in the middle of Småland, Sweden, we are now seeking a Continuous Improvement (CI) Manager to join our high-performing team of 1300 employees. We are searching for an energetic person to drive our continuous improvement program in Emmaboda as well as supporting CI Specialists at three other smaller manufacturing sites: one in Germany, one in England and one in the US.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right background looking to expand the depth of their operational excellence scope with great possibility to influence and shape the company's future.
Responsibilities
* Provide leadership and strategic direction to the site manufacturing and back-office functions to achieve plans and targets within the area of Continuous Improvement.
* Develop a culture of continuous improvement by using Lean & Six Sigma Manufacturing tools.
* Coach, train and lead management, supervisors and employees to embrace the culture of never-ending improvement in safety, productivity, quality, cost and delivery in order to reach best-in-class level.
* Establish local CI standards based on corporate standards for Xylem Production System at Emmaboda site and at the three other sites where you support the CI program acceleration.
* Build and cross functionally lead and coach a team of local CI Specialists and CI Coordinators throughout the Emmaboda site in instilling a high-performance shop floor agenda and culture. Support management and CI Specialists at three additional manufacturing sites within the Water Infrastructure division of Xylem.
Qualifications and Experience
* An academic degree within relevant field. Experience from a continuous improvement role within industry sector
* Certification in Lean Master or Six Sigma Black Belt
* Proven capability to lead change in a team environment.
* Strong analytical skills.
* Able to manage multiple projects/activities across multiple sites
* A collaborative and solution-focused approach.
* Strong written and spoken communication skills.
* Hands-on experience using CI methods (LEAN, 5S, TPM, SMED, VSM, Six Sigma, TQM).
