Role Summary
This role is a part of TRATON Group R&D, located in Södertälje, Sweden
As Configuration Manager, you'll be the driving force ensuring we release the right product quality at the right time, enabling product maintainability and continuous customer value add. You'll work closely with the value flow lead and project management, acting as the "spider in the net" who keeps everyone on track and ensures transparency in status and progress.
Job Responsibilities
In this role you are responsible for the product release management and change control. You will be the facilitator of Change Control Board and Release Meetings.
Your work will involve following tasks:
Develop and maintain the Release Plan in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan.
Manage versioning and change tracking for all product artifacts, safeguarding the integrity, traceability, and reproducibility.
Compile product releases and validate configuration integrity before deployment.
Track changes to configuration items and assess impact and readiness.
Compile release information, collect statements and supporting documents from teams, and follow up on open points.
Deliver development and production software/calibration to relevant stakeholders.
Communicate status on releases, configuration items, and process fulfillment.
Who You Are
You have a broad understanding of software development, embedded systems, and the integration between hardware and software. Your strong analytical and organizational skills enable you to manage complex tasks and coordinate effectively across teams. You are confident in driving cross-functional collaboration and handling dependencies in dynamic environments.
Experience with configuration management tools such as Polarion, Git, or Jira is a plus. Familiarity with automotive safety and security standards is also advantageous and will support your success in this role.
You have a B.Sc. or M.Sc. in the fields of embedded systems, mechatronics, data science, physics or relevant work experience. However, your attitude, mindset, and personality are of equal importance.

You will be part of the system engineering team responsible for the Mining system delivery. You'll collaborate closely with cross-teams professionals, including Project Managers, RTE:s, Test Leaders, System Owners, Lead Architects, Safety Managers and Cyber Security Managers. Working together, you'll ensure that we get smooth planning, testing, documentation, and compliance - building strong relationships and driving successful product releases.
