Titel:Compliance officer/manager
Position Description:
Provide compliance support to Lifestyle Protection and Mortgage Insurance sales and operations functions predominantly in the Nordic region including Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia.
Geographical Regions in Scope: Nordic and Baltic countries. Development opportunity to expand remit to include Poland over time. Responsibilities include driving business compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and internal policies, providing compliance training and support to claims management teams and acting as business representative on compliance related trade bodies in countries within the region.
Key Responsibilities: Reporting to Regional Counsel for the Nordic Region. Will be required to advise and support new client and new product launches in the region including the drafting of policyholder terms and conditions.
Providing day to day compliance support to sales teams and operations including Distribution Partner Due Diligence (Pre and Post Contract)
Working with Genworth's European Compliance Leader to devise and implement compliance management framework and compliance policies and procedures in the Nordic Region
Driving business compliance with applicable European and national legal and regulatory requirements
Acting as business liaison with local regulators and keeping business informed of regulatory changes
Education & Experience:
Significant compliance/legal experience with insurance or other financial services business in the Nordic Region
Working knowledge of local consumer and insurance laws and regulations in at least one of the countries in the Nordic region
Experience in dealing with regulators, trade associations and other government agencies in the financial services sector
Must speak one of the Scandinavian languages as native language and have ability to communicate effectively (both written and verbal) in English.
Law Degree or compliance background, knowledge or experience.
