The Swedish Middle East and North African Group will start to work with HIV-prevention targeting Spanish speakers in Sweden by starting a phone line service. We also work with a project that focus on the involvement and increase the visibility of LGBT persons (Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Transsexual persons) with Latin American background.
The Swedish Middle East North Africa group is working against all forms of intolerance and discrimination based on gender, sexual orientation, ethnicity and religious background and focus on the relations between Sweden, Europe and Middle East and North Africa region, in particular the Spanish speaking countries. Swedish Middle East North Africa Group strives for diversity in the organization among both volunteers and staff and promote a mixture of persons with different gender, sexual orientation and ethnic / religious affiliation.
We are currently seeking a Communicator Spanish
Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
Communicator in Spanish Employment Hourly paid (up to 50 %)
Merits:
• Knowledge of Swedish
• Experience in volunteer involvement and youth activities
• Knowledge of Adobe software (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
• Knowledge of Lgbt-issues and STI-prevention
• Knowledge of anti-racist work
• Knowledge of the search SIDA and EU grant
• Knowledge of administration and accounting
• Knowledge of other cultures and intersectionality
Beskrivning av kvalifikationer:
kvalifications:
• Fluent in English both spoken and written
• Experience from working in Spanish Language and publishing materials in Spanish.
• Knowledge of Spanish terms regarding STI, HIV.
• Have a general knowledge of Microsoft Office and to type Spanish on computer keyboard
• Knowledge of using social media
Be easy to communicate and inspire others, especially those with immigrant background
Duties:
oTranslation of information material. Analyze and correct material written in Spanish word wilde understood.
oDisseminate information about the organization, both orally and in writing, at festivals, conferences, social media, website, etc.
o Inspire and involve young Gay and Lesbians to become involved in local as well as international issues through various information activities
oWriting information material about HIV-prevention in Spanish and English
oDevelop the organization's local / national activities: inter-cultural festivals, art & culture, debate & opinion polls, health and HIV.
oDevelop the organization's international activities: exchanges, conferences, seminars
Profile of candidates:
Interested in the anti-discrimination issues and to combat intolerance based on sexual orientation, gender and ethnicity. Interested of preventing HIV and other STI:s. Have a background in Spanish Media with excellent Spanish language skills or/and experience in reproductive health. Have knowledge in using Microsoft Office and other software in Spanish including typing Spanish.
