We are now looking for a Commodity Manager, Propulsion!
Description
The Purchasing department is responsible for all commercial businesses regarding direct and indirect material and services. You will be part of the direct material organization which contains of about 14 per-sons located in Trollhättan and 12 persons located in our office in Tianjin, China. The team is operating in a well-defined global purchasing process based on teamwork between Buyers, SQE 's & Cost Engineers. In direct material, we will have 5 Commodity Managers.
As a Commodity Manager you will:
- Develop and execute the strategic direction of the respective commodity.
- Lead the global commodity team of buyers.
- Balance workload within the global Commodity team.
- Be responsible for Supplier nominations according to project needs and based on Commodity strategy.
- Be responsible for supplier issues and operation issues within the commodity.
- Be responsible for main supplier(s) within own commodity area.
- Be responsible for overall business plan for each commodity including cost targets.
- Follow up Key Performance Indicator (KPI) for the global commodity.
- Creating effective and long-terms supplier relations.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has:
- Technical, Economic or Legal University degree or equivalent experience.
- Extensive experience in advanced purchasing activities in industry.
- Relevant experience in the automotive industry.
- Knowledge and experience of the Chinese supplier base is a valuable advantage.
- Senior experience to negotiating major business contracts.
- Driver license B
You master English and Swedish, both spoken and written.
