Edrington is based in Scotland and owned by its employees and a charitable trust, The Robertson Trust. The company has interests in the Dominican Republic, the US, Europe, Asia and Africa. Our employees work in distilling, blending and bottling, as well as brand management, sales, finance and other professional functions.
Edrington Nordics sits within the companies Europe Region distributing both Edrington and third party brands such as Jim Beam, Maker’s Mark, Laphroaig, Sauza Tequila, Lucas Bols, Sourz and Piper Heidsieck Champagne. In the last few years, Edrington has grown internationally and expanded its route-to-market to new locations. Today Edrington employs 2,250 people internationally. The office in Stockholm is the base for 40 employees and functions as the head quarter for the Nordics region and a small European Travel retail team.
The Robertson Trust was established in 1961 and is the largest grant-making trust in Scotland. In the year to 31st March 2015 the Trust made 742 awards valued at £18.2 million to charities in Scotland. As Edrington grows internationally, it has extended the principle of donating a share of the company’s profits within its international markets. In 2014 that corresponded to around SEK 3 million in the Nordics region.
Commercial Insights Analyst - Edrington Nordics
Edrington is looking for a Commercial Insights Analyst who will work as part of a team in seeking to build on the current business whilst also sourcing future growth streams and supporting the future growth of our portfolio of Brands. This is a challenging role that will offer autonomy and responsibility to influence decisions in all four Nordic markets.
The commercial decision making is owned by the country managers and financial controllers. This role will be responsible for supporting the different Nordic country managers with relevant data and information regarding, pricing, price changes and new listings etc.
He or she will also be responsible for data analysis such as analysing sales statistics and category development per market, cross border trade analysis as well as other regional/geographical sales analysis etc. The role will also work with the development of analysis tools to allow better informed decisions on business cases.
The Commercial Insight Analyst will further on work with and be responsible for marketing investment tracking and review of areas spent per brand (effectiveness), media spend analysis and cost efficiency of creation of media plans, competitor analysis, trend reports, regional and global. The role will be an important link to the market intelligence team in Scotland and across the group.
The role requires some travelling within the Nordic region and occasionally to Scotland and other markets within the group. You will work at Edrington Nordics office in the central parts of Stockholm.
Your profile
Academic degree in Business administration or similar
A couple of years experience in a similar dynamic environment
You have a strong numeric analytical background and are capable of interrogating data quickly as well as understanding current trends and future scenario planning
It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent skills in MS Excel and knowledge of database systems to support the data analysis work.
Due to our international context, you understand, speak and write English fluently
