Chief Rebel is looking for a character artist to join our team. As a character artist you will be a part of a cross-disciplinary team that together influence and realize our character vision. What we do and how we work is equally important, we are looking for an artist that is passionate about sustainable pipeline, workflow, shaping friendly working culture and creating world class characters.
Here at Chief Rebel, we aim to make awesome games that will inspire developers and players alike. We value collaboration, meaning that we are game developers first, working together cross-disciplinary to make the best games.
What you bring:
Professional game development experience, preferable with shipped games.
Experience with stylized sculpts in Zbrush, creating hand-painted textures and PBR texture workflow.
Proficiency in industry standard modeling tools (Zbrush, Maya, Substance Painter) and workflow.
An open-mind and have a collaborative attitude.
An ability to embrace feedback and share your knowledge with others.
A passion for games - especially games that provide players with interesting choices and depth, be it MMORPGs, MOBAs, 1st Person Shooters or Fighting Games.
What you will do:
Produce a wide range of characters from powerful heroes to memorable bosses and monsters.
Collaborate cross-disciplinary to define our universe, bring personality to your characters/monsters and make sure it plays as intended.
Responsible for taking your assets all the way into the game.
Be our character team point of contact, work together cross-disciplinary to identify character needs and pitfalls.
Mentor and share best practices.
