www.epirocgroup.com.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Category Manager to join the Strategic Sourcing organization within the Surface Division in Örebro (Eyra).
You will be part of a committed team that prioritizes people and the planet, with a strong dedication to accelerating the strategic sourcing transformation to meet our short-, mid-, and long-term objectives.
Your Mission
As a Category Manager, you will work closely with Supplier Development Engineering, Project Sourcing Management, and key stakeholders.
Your mission includes:
* Driving Category Management aligned with strategic priorities like Supply Chain Resilience, Cost Efficiency, Environmental-Social Governance, and top-level priorities within the Surface Division.
* Providing key category knowledge and access to the latest technology road maps to contribute to the product portfolio transformation.
* Securing the best possible supplier base, performance, sustainability, and compliance to meet the company's targets through:
* Implementing and continuously improving Category Strategy
* Driving Supplier Relationship Management
* Leading Cost Reduction initiatives
* Owning Contract Management
* Supporting Supplier Development activities to meet Epiroc's requirements, expectations, and targets
* Ensuring access to the latest technology from preferred suppliers and potential partners
* Supporting Supply Chain Management improvements
* Working globally integrated to leverage the Epiroc Group
* Representing the Surface Division in relevant forums with key internal and external stakeholders to safeguard and contribute to the divisional strategy and support cross-divisional activities for alignment across the Epiroc Group.
Your Profile
Experience in strategic sourcing, category management, manufacturing, and overall business understanding in manufacturing organizations.
Sustainability and compliance management experience is advantageous.
Project management skills and/or other leadership skills are preferred.
University degree in engineering and/or business administration, or equivalent proven experience related to strategic sourcing.
Additional education/training in Environmental-Social Governance is an advantage.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
A strong interest in working with category, supplier, and sustainability management, and engineering combined with sourcing in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to build long-term relationships and effective communication between internal and external stakeholders.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Regular travel, both domestic and international, is required.
