hela Sverige Would you like to develop future engines and transmissions? We are looking for experienced Calibration Engineers! AVL Scandinavia PTE has approximately 170 employees based in Haninge, Södertälje and Gothenburg. AVL is a leading player in developing testing technology and methodology for efficient engine and transmission development and calibration. As a calibration engineer at AVL you will work with cutting edge technology in collaboration with experts in the global AVL team and our successful customers. We are dealing with calibration tasks for both light duty and heavy duty engines as well as for transmissions. Therefore our scope spans from the calibration of engines for passenger car applications to heavy duty engines for trucks and off-road vehicles as well as to transmissions. AVL Sweden is the competence center for alternative fuels within AVL; therefore calibration of engines using alternative fuels is part of our daily business. You will be working at our Techcenters in Södertälje and Haninge or as resident engineer at customers in Sweden or elsewhere in the world.
Your Responsibilities:
Deliver engine calibration in customer projects with light duty diesel- and gasoline engines
Deliver engine calibration in customer projects with heavy duty diesel engines
Deliver engine calibration in customer projects of engines powered by alternative fuels (CNG, biodiesel, ethanol, etc.)
Deliver transmission calibration in customer projects with mainly heavy duty transmissions
Propose function changes / additional functions to improve control system
Depending of the nature, size and type of the project, project management responsibility can be part of your tasks
Your Profile:
Very good social and communication skills
Experience in engine or transmission control systems and their calibration
Knowledge and genuine interest in present and future engine and transmission technologies
Experience in using technical computing environments such as MatlabSimulink
Knowledge of application and data logging tools such as Inca, Vision, Canalyzer or similar
Knowledge of dedicated data evaluation tools such as AVL Concerto
Eager to learn and guide your co-workers within your area of knowledge
Eager to learn and specialize yourself in new areas
Eager to learn and utilize the AVL developed calibration tools enabling fast and high quality state of the art calibration
Master degree in Engineering or equivalent
