About us:
Electric driveline Dimensioning Dept. "97770 - Electric driveline Dimensioning (CAE & RLD)" is part of Vehicle Propulsion Unit and Electric Driveline Department which is responsible for the complete electric driveline system including electrical machine, inverter, transmission, mounts and drive shafts. The team consist of 36 engineers today and our main work is to virtually analyze, develop and verify the system and its components.
The department is now facing an exciting future when Volvo Cars decided to once again do in-house development of transmissions and electrical machines that are needed for the electrical drivelines that are in the programs.
We are now looking for a MBD Engineer interested in electric drivelines and new technology within this area. In our team you will get the opportunity to develop your own skills by cooperate with experienced colleagues, together we make a difference in the development of electric drivelines and contribute to even better Volvo cars!
Main responsibilities:
• perform structural dynamic, vibro-acoustic and MBD analysis of electric driveline system and components
• define and analyze design prerequisites
• participate in early product development phase as well as in the industrialization phase
• verify CAE models and CAE results
• participate in planning and analysis of physical testing connected to CAE (liten del)
• make and present CAE reports
Required qualifications:
• Technical university degree or similar
• Goal oriented and likes to drive for results.
• Ability to communicate on many different levels and understand complex technical problems.
• Have a continuous communication with people involved in the development process
• Understand the complexity of Electric Driveline development
• Be creative and take advantage of knowledge/technology/innovations in other areas
• CAE background within MBD (meritorious)
• Good user knowledge of VCC tools (meritorious)
• Capable of maintaining a large network of contacts (meritorious)
• Fluent in Swedish and English, spoken and written (meritorious)

• * ACTRAN (meritorious)
• * Teamcenter (meritorious)
• * ADAMS EXCITE CATIA CAE (meritorious)
• * PYTHON (meritorious)
