Position description:
Develop technical solution and documents that describes the Trunk Trim systems and components that will be sent to suppliers for tooling, build, launch and eventually production. The design engineer will be in a team of about 7 members in an Agile team.
Responsibility to Develop solutions cross functional to given specification, Time-Technical- Cost contract (TTC), Design prerequisites and VCC-standard.
Responsible for packing of components towards surrounding environment and for defining requirements on surrounding systems / components that are necessary to make the design work as intended (DPA0). Responsible for that technical documents are available at the right level and right time plan according to KU-plan and that they are fulfilling VCC-standard. Responsible that the structure is correct in Team Center Engineering (TCe) and KDP, primary and auxiliary documents. Together with Task manager be responsible for that FMEA is performed on system- and component level. Verify the solution and recommend changes of the design regarding technology, quality, service, environment, market adaptation and rationalization Take part of Geometry and final assurance of fulfilment of requirements together with GSU.
Deliveries:
• Primary and Complementary documents.
• Deliver 3D models for virtual verification and development of prototype tools/material for physical verification, including production approval.
• Deliver 3D/2D models for manufacturing of production articles.
• Develop and document article structure in KDP, Tce.
• Contribute to secure functional models and sections.
Requirements:
• Well proven competence in the component or technical area of working and in particular design of injection molded parts.
• Practical and documented experience design work with several well proven designs. Worked with design assignments through all phases of a project, basic design. Established competence in relevant design tools and ways of working within VCC. Performs design work and when needed packaging work under guidance.
• Capable of leading the development of a technical solution within an assignment. Receives assignments in writing, sketches or verbal guiding.
• Capable of identifying the problem and recommend actions to solve it.
• Capable of judging the need for verification and takes decisions regarding needed changes. (within mandate)
• Specialist in relevant tools and system that supports the design: Especially CATIA v5 and TCE.
