To one of our customers in Stockholm we are now seeking for a Business Development Manager to drive expansion of its Break Bulk and project cargo business.

This role reports into the Vice President for Pricing and Break Bulk.

Responsibilities

Lead the Break Bulk Business Development team to expand our global market position and profitability by:

• Analyzing market intelligence and using industry knowledge and experience to identify new business opportunities
• Actively contributing to and driving the Commercial and Marketing strategy for Break Bulk and project cargo
• Work together with the global sales organization to capture opportunities
• Leading a team of specialists
• Building relationships and know-how with all relevant stakeholders across the organization.

Required Experience and Qualifications

• Proven track record in developing a market segment and finding new business opportunities in a global market.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills - the successful candidate must seek, analyze, present and use market data.
• Strong understanding of pricing, cost and profitability mechanisms.
• In-depth understanding of Break Bulk or project/specialized cargo is highly advantageous. However, in-depth understanding of other markets and how we can find business opportunities there could be equally meritorious.
• Experience of creating and driving commercial strategies.
• Technical mindset - you need to have or develop an understanding of how to carry breakbulk and find technical solutions for this.
• Experience of leading people according to our leadership values - we expect inclusive leadership that develops and encourage those who work for you.
• Experience of leading global projects.
• Used to working in a results driven environment.
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
