We are on to a historic and monumental journey in IKEA Malmö where we aim to remodel the entire store to fit the changing consumer behaviors and expectations.
We're looking for collaborative and energetic partners on this amazing journey. We see this is a unique chance to work on an innovation project, with the environment to grow and develop fast and take next development step further into the Swedish organization and beyond.
This role is a temporary assignment until approximately end of 2022.

About the assignment
You are excited to lead and inspire a team of HF+RD co-workers to create exciting range presentation solutions that provide an easy shopping experience and increase vitality and visitation in IKEA Malmö.
As an Interior Design, Visual Merchandising, or Graphic Design Senior in the Core Team, you are on board for the entire project. You are responsible to help lead the HF+RD function's parts in preparation, construction, and commercial build up. You report to the HF+RD implementation leaders and are part of a Core Team consisting of key competences from several different functions. You lead a Set Team of co-workers in your function during the implementation of the project to successfully implement the solution as Concept & Commercial review ready.
This is a fulltime role from wk. 45 to wk. 39, on-site 5 days a week, 8-17 in Malmö, Sweden.
A day in your life with us
· Lead the "Set Team" for your function during the project through coaching and mentoring
• Ensure the right materials and supplies are in place at the right time for build-up plan
• Provide external service provider (ESP) with the right conditions based on build- up plan
• Give HF+RD Implementation Leaders input that benefits the quality and/or efficiency of the project
• Contribute to re-phasing activities based on onsite delays
• Contribute to checking the quality during the retail fit-out and commercial build up phases
• Secure that the project is running as smoothly as possible
• Attend daily project meetings
• Contribute to waste removal routines in your area, and support the set team to do the same
• Follow and ensure all safety rules are followed in your area, support the set team to do the same, and alert the leadership team to any potential safety and security challenges.
• Contribute to documenting the learning process along with Core Team and Implementation Leaders

Qualifications
For this role we believe you have significant experience working with home furnishing and retail design and in a fast retail environment.
- Strong visual competence with a keen eye for aesthetics and attention to detail
• Have a flexible hands-on approach to responsibilities and an ability to meet set deadlines
• Able to understand documentation and bring plans to life in-line with IKEA brand
• Ability to combine commercial, aesthetic and practical skills
• Implement action plans, set expectations, provide clear direction, and follow up goals
• Ability to prioritise and organize your work and the work of others in order to be efficient and meet agreed goals
• Familiar with IKEA display techniques, range presentation, and media landscape
• Understand IKEA foundation and global tools such as layout as a commercial tool and Commercial Review knowledge
• Ability to work together with others in the commercial team
• A natural ability to move smoothly from assessing the bigger picture to seeing the small details
• Good analytical and strategic skills and the ability to steer the store business over the short-, mid- and long term
• Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Comfortable to speak and understand English both individually and in groups
• Must be able to build working relationships and work with people with a variety of backgrounds
