We are looking for a Bid Controller for our Signalling Systems division in Stockholm
Your Role
You will have the full responsibility for the financial calculations for the tender requirements, based on the information from the bid team and company guidelines. You will make the financial situation of the bid transparent to regional management, including current status and alternative scenarios.
This includes:
• Leading and coordinating all financial issues for all new projects at regional sites
• Preparing revenue and margins calculations for potential projects
• Ensure that expenditures are within the budget and that the estimates for completion are realistic
• Provide calculation of the bonds and guarantees needs, as well as calculations of interest and cash flow
Your Challenges
We expect you to challenge functions about their figures, bid related risks and assumed opportunities. You will support the bid- and project managements in target costing and participate in bid reviews to enable the region to meet its strategic objectives. You will also be supporting the budget process by evaluating the sales plan and by providing adequate calculations for budgeted contracts that are not yet bid for.
Your Experience and Qualifications
The job-holder should be a qualified accountant, with experience of leading and controlling the financial activities at a divisional or equivalent level. A good knowledge of controlling tools & processes, as well as accounting guidelines would be essential.
Understanding of the bid and project environment and the impact of project activities on divisional performance is critical. Knowledge of the rail industry, or similar environment, would be an advantage.
Strong teamwork and communications skills, coupled with highly developed analytical and problem solving skills are essential to succeed in this role. An ability to produce accurate results under demanding time pressure is an essential aspect of this job. The successful candidate will ideally hold a degree in business administration or Industrial Engineering.
