The department of Industrial product development, production and design are looking for an assistant professor in production development. We conducts education and research in areas such as product development, production development and industrial design. The department is responsible for five educational programs at Campus in Jönköping. In addition, the department is responsible for two education programs in Nässjö and Värnamo. The department has a strong engagement in the development of research and education within Knowledge Intensive Product Realisation which is a strategic area at Jönköping University.
Job Description
You will mainly teach in Master's Program in Production Development and Management, secondly in the bachelor program Industrial Economics and Production Management, and similar courses in our MSc/Civilingenjörsprogram. Typical courses are production technology, production development, production management, production strategy, quality strategy. You will also work with administrative tasks and development related to the teaching.
Research is encouraged within production development and based on organizational and industrial needs.
Qualification
We are looking for you, with an doctoral degree in relevant academic field, who like to teach and have student contact. You need to have documented teaching expertise. Teaching from production development on university level or similar is merited. We like you to have both theoretical and practical experience in relevant fields.
As a person you are driven, structured, independent and takes responsibility. You have good cooperation skills and have ability and interest in leading teaching.You need to be fluent in written and spoken English and it is meritorious if you have skills in Swedish.
Research experience from production topics is also highly relevant. It is positive and meritorious if you also have industrial experience and taken courses in teaching and learning in higher education.

It is a permanent position, full time (100%), with an initial probationary period. The employment start 1 of November 2019 or as agreed on.
