In the role of Area Sales Manager you will implement Business Unit global sales and marketing strategies in the assigned geographic area, ensuring that the global Business Unit increases sales, margins, market share and customer satisfaction in the region. You will collaborate with local sales units and global marketing and sales organizations within the business unit and in other business units.
Your responsibilities
Generating new business, increasing ABB market share and exceeding the target sales figures with profitable growth for the power quality solutions which includes Dry DC Capacitors and Wet AC/DC Capacitor Banks.
Develop business relationships with executives at the assigned HVDC & FACTS customer accounts.
Business development and market search for DryDC Capacitors
Seek and feedback competitor information to PM team for market intelligence in order to increase our competitiveness.
Reviewing and analyzing the RFQ documents and identifying the scope of supply, preparing list of technical datasheets, deviations and clarifications.
Preparation of technical/commercial offers by translate customer requirements into appropriate technology solutions & proposals.
Preparation of Full Cost Model, performing Risk Reviews as needed by the projects.
Follow the sales processes to ensure that customer requirements and contracts are handed over to project management team effectively.
Follow-up on sales opportunities to give best forecasting to the management.
Collaborating with other PMs, hold training seminars and other events to promote ABB products in the assigned segments through internal sales, channel partners, consultants, contractors, Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and end-users.

Your background
You hold bachelor's degree in electrical engineering and has minimum 5 years of work experience.
Experience in Sales & Marketing and Tender Management.
Experience in Full Cost Model and Risk review preparations.
It would be meritorious if you have experience in power quality /HVDC or FACTS technologies.
Strong English language skills, written and spoken. Other languages are advantageous.
Excellent Computer skills including Microsoft Office essentials & Salesforce.com.
Attention to detail, self-starter, proactive, ability to learn, good interpersonal skills and result oriented.
You are structured, persistent and well-organized in your way of working and committed to customer satisfaction.
You are ready to work in an international and multicultural work environment.
