hela Sverige At Semcon, we have a growing demand in the area of AI, Big Data and Smart Applications. We are looking for our next "Unicorn" Applied Data Scientist to complement our team in Gothenburg.
What you will be doing
As our next Applied Data Scientist, you'll be supporting our customers in building next-gen data-driven solutions & applications, throughout the entire development lifecycle, and realizing significant business value from it, as well as a key link between our world-class machine learning team, data engineers and architects, towards interoperable and seamless end-to-end smart solutions and applications.
Who we think you are...
We'd love to hear from you if you have the passion and experience in working extensively with Data; Comfortable working on loosely defined problems, enjoy creating structure, meaningfulness and value from uncertainty, utilizing your systematic hacking and precision skills.
We expect you to have a strong business acumen and an agile mindset. You are presentable, communicative, curious and a natural in turning business use-cases into data science cases. You have high tolerance and perseverance for crunching through large volumes of data for exploration and insight gathering, supporting the resolution of complex and painful business problems. On top of that, you have a strong computing background alongside relevant statistical and Machine Learning methods and techniques, You are also an excellent implementer and competent software engineer who is able to turn ideas into robust, performant and effective applications.
We'd also welcome you who just started your career in this area. Further, we believe that you have a relevant academic degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar computing field.

We are a tool agnostic team who have competence and experience within the field who adapt to our customers' needs and realize that tools come and go out of fashion, relevance and effectiveness. Please include your go-to toolbox for solving the above challenge in your application!
Highly meriting if you have implementation experience from Amazon AWS, Microsoft Azure or similar Cloud platforms.
