H&M IT operation is looking for an experienced Application Technician for our internal systems. Take the chance to develop in a changing and dynamic organization!

We work in a creative and innovative area where our main goal is to create a stable platform for our users in the Buying and Production offices globally. We work in close cooperation with the development division Buying and Production. We have a strong focus on delivering a stable, well performing and secure infrastructure and application environment to our users and customers.

As an Application Technician you will primarily focus on project participation and act as technical operations expertise to secure transition from development to operations. You will be responsible for communicating the operational requirements towards the maintenance areas and support handover to our offshore team. The role will be transitioned more from hands-on technician to follow-up on the delivery. You will work with internally built systems as well as bought services and products. Automation and finding improvements in the operational solution is an important part of the daily work.

To succeed in this role you have excellent interpersonal skills, are service minded and have a solid understanding of IT, especially Infrastructure & Operations. You are an open and honest person who enjoys building relationships and have great communication skills. We work in a fast paced environment, which requires that you are driven, structured and have the ability to prioritize and work as one team. It is important that you can work both independently, are a good team player and can pursue work in alignment with H&Ms strategic goals. You will report to TSR (Technical Solution Responsible) for a sub area of BOPO I&O.

Duties

• Coordinate and escalate issues relating to the area
• Support the setup of technical environments
• Work closely with maintenance areas and projects (devops)
• Work closely and follow-up with offshore teams
• Communicate requirements towards infrastructure teams, for example storage, network, server and database
• Communicate requirements towards development teams to get an operational sound solution
• Support in capacity planning
• Support in setup of alarms and monitoring
• Work with Kanban and ITIL

Responsibility within the role

• To understand the interconnection between many systems
• To deliver relevant and up to date documentation
• To support developers and projects in their maintenance situations
• To be a key role and have interest for the technical development
• To communicate requirements to other teams to achieve a better end-user experience.

Preferred competence

• Windows Server 2008/2012/2016, SQL Server 2008/2012/2014
• Microsoft Azure PaaS solutions
• ITIL knowledge, specifically Incident, Problem and Change management
• Preferably experience in MSMQ and T-SQL, IIS 7/8, Server Performance and Alarm Monitoring, VMware, Script Management (PowerShell)
• Previous background in working with Application/Server Operation
• Very good troubleshooting skills on Windows Server and Windows Applications
• Knowledge of network and infrastructure
• Offshoring and KPI follow-up of the delivery
