We are looking for an Application Support Engineer at Hitachi Energy, High Voltage Products business in Ludvika, Sweden. You will be part of Technical Lead Center for Live Tank Breakers (LTB).
As the Application Support Engineer, you will be part of a team that is formed by highly skilled R&D experts who closely collaborate every day to enhance and secure the present and future of the Live Tank Breaker products. You will work with our local site and global organization as well as our customers when there is a need of LTB technical expertise, especially related to SwitchSync POW relay and its application on LTB/PASS breakers.
Your responsibilities
Act as technical expert regarding our LTB products and their applications, focus on Point On Wave (SwitchSync) and digital solution
Participate in POW and digital Breakers R&D projects
Work will include type testing of LTB and relevant accessories
Manage smaller R&D and Testing projects
Conduct training and seminars, both internally and externally
Support SwitchSync commissioning activities
Supervise and actively revise standards and CIGRE activities
Support management on LTB POW/digital related decisions
Live core values of safety and integrity, which means taking responsibility for your own actions while caring for your colleagues and the business
Your background
You are Senior Engineer on POW SwitchSync devices and applications on LTB and/or other Switchgears
You preferably have extensive experience with Hitachi Energy LTB product portfolio
Experience on LTB R&D projects. Experience in digital solution R&D projects in HV products environment will be highly valued.
You have market and competitor awareness on LTB products and related digital products
You are customer focused and have good communication skills
Ability to analyze and propose the right solutions
Fluency in English is required. Additional languages will be an advantage.
