During the 2018 Atlas Copco will be divided into two separate companies, Atlas Copco and Epiroc. Epiroc will be a leading global productivity partner within mining, infrastructure and natural resources industries. Right now we are looking for an Application Manager IT for our ECS Service team.
The mission of the ECS Service team is to introduce new requirements as well as secure and improve the overall quality, efficiency and availability of the Epiroc Group Consolidation system ECS, ICE and Salmon. The team is mainly based in Stockholm but have team members on global locations. The team works tightly with the Group Financial Reporting and Control team of Epiroc.
Job description
As Application Manager IT ECS (AMIT ECS) you will be playing a vital role in managing the maintenance of Epiroc's reporting system (ECS = Epiroc Consolidation System), the ICE system (Intercompany matching system) and Salmon (the daily sales statistic sytem).
You are responsible for the system maintenance of the ECS, ICE and Salmon applications and reporting to the ECS Service Manager. Your focus is on the IT aspects of the system maintenance ensuring that the application function as intended.
Mission
The mission of the Application Service Management team is to secure and improve the overall quality, efficiency and availability of Epiroc's group reporting systems ECS, ICE and Salmon.
• You must have a solid experience in IT/ IS, experience leading a global team, and should be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills. It's required to apply, follow and improve the different processes that are in place and in line with ITIL. Safeguarding the operation of the reporting platform while supporting the functional team's 2nd level escalations. Tasks within the 2nd level problem resolution are executed while 3rd level problem management is performed with the strategic partners of Epiroc and the Development team.
• Assist with the development of long term strategies and capacity planning by ensuring policies and procedures are kept up to date and in line with the business needs. Partnering with other service teams to troubleshoot and improve the overall performance and stability of the infrastructure.
• Responsible for the KPI scorecards and the cost center reporting to the different stakeholders (ECS Service Manager (Group Financial Reporting and Control) & IS/IT management).
• Closely monitor and ensure the availability of the ECS (SAP BPC), ICE and salmon systems during critical reporting periods, working hand in hand with the IT and Finance support teams in the other regions.
• Document, create and follow support procedures that are in place.
• Ensure a timely follow-up on actions coming out of the closing and keep GFC informed where appropriate.
• Work together with the finance team to provide regular maintenance.
• Put in place technical changes prepared by the development team in line with change management.
• Proactively identify and propose improvements to the infrastructure.
• Ensure the compliance of the infrastructure with the internal policies and guidelines.
• Producing required KPI Scorecards and Ad-hoc reports as needed.
• Supporting and leading key projects related to GPS infrastructure.
Experience requirements
• Minimum 5 years working experience within the IT industry.
• Experience working with a multinational organization.
• Ability to lead a global team of technical experts and excelling in leading by example when needed by direct command.
• Good understanding of IT technical components (Integrations, SW, HW, Hosting etc) that affects application availability, functionality and performance.
• Good understanding of IT processes (IT support, IT vendor management etc).
• Ability to conduct research, troubleshooting and problem resolution.
• Business processes understanding.
• Basic economical skills and understanding of economical terms.
• Excellent communication skills while being eager to develop your soft skills next to your technical. skills
• Management of projects while meeting tight deadlines.
• Technical skills:
o SAP BPC or BI systems
o Solid SQL knowledge
o SAP BASIS and ABAP knowledge
o DB systems (Microsoft SQL server and/or SAP HANA) and related technologies
o Experience in maintaining a Citrix infrastructure
o Understanding of virtualization technologies (i.e. VMWare)
o Active Directory knowledge
o Fundamentals of TCP/IP
o Basic experience with SAP Netweaver platform and SAP BW
Knowledge and educational requirements
University degree in relevant fields or similar competence developed through working experience.
ITIL Foundations Certification.
MCITP/MCDBA/MCSA/MCSE or at least equivalent
Good command of written and spoken English
Project Management experience.
