You are pragmatic, you like when things are moving fast and having fun while at it. You appreciate smart, dedicated colleagues that truly care about you, and about the product and the technical solutions. You know the value of simplicity, and you believe in code reviews and continuous integration for the purpose of deliver valuable stuff. You will be part of a small team of engineers that develop the technical learning platform, infrastructure & support the organisation with insights. You will working with powering our work with data for both in-house decision- making and end-user learning & teaching. You'll work together with the rest of the technical team on implementation of such data tools, models and the overall data strategy in the platform. Since the team owns the full stack, and everyone codes, you will be part of the development flow and jump in on both front-end and back-end work for the team to progress. It's therefore important that you understand the whole chain in order for us to be efficient and combine your analytics role with full-stack coding. The team works across the full spectrum from infrastructure, data analysis & modeling, deployment, database, back-end and front-end. The current stack contains python web apps & API's to pure javascript front-end apps using AngularJS & Webpack. We also contribute with our Product team to the ideation, data and solution stages of upcoming features and projects.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS Your background: University degree (Bachelor or higher) in computer science or IT 2+ years of software analytics experience, working with data all the way from SQL tools to event-driven logging & visualization tools 3+ years of full-stack web development experience, working with client-based applications Required skills: Knowledge of off-the-shelf data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau Fluent in SQL & ORM's (e.g. django, rails, sqlalchemy) Implemented tracking strategies for event-based data analytics on the web (e.g. MixPanel) AngularJS, RESTful API's, Websockets HTML5, Javascript ES6, Babel SASS, Responsive strategies & frameworks Grunt/Gulp/Webpack or similar tools Other skills we value: Continuous integration (Jenkins, Teamcity), Deployments, Builds Working with AWS, Heroku, CDN, Memcached, Vagrant, Docker etc. Database knowledge, SQL (PostgreSQL), but non-sql knowledge valuable as well
