hela Sverige The Koenigsegg Software & Electronics department is responsible for designing and developing software, electronic control units (ECU) and supporting tools for all Koenigsegg's cars. We are working very closely with the other engineering departments, production and service/aftersales.
We are seeking a talented and passionate Wiring Harness Design Engineer to join our engineering team. In this role, you will design and develop advanced wiring harness systems for our high-performance hypercars. Your work will directly contribute to the reliability, efficiency, and cutting-edge technology that define our vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop lightweight, high-performance wiring harness systems for hypercars, ensuring optimal electrical performance and durability under extreme conditions
- Collaborate with electrical, mechanical, and software engineering teams to integrate wiring harnesses into complex, high-performance vehicle systems
- Select advanced components to meet the demanding requirements of hypercar applications
- Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, 2D/3D layouts, and BOM
- Troubleshoot and resolve design, manufacturing, and performance issues related to wiring harness systems
- Support prototype builds and production launches, ensuring designs meet the highest standards of quality and performance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in wiring harness design in high-performance automotive
- Proficiency in CAD software (CATIA, Siemens NX ) for wiring harness design
- Strong knowledge of automotive electrical systems, standards (e.g., ISO, SAE), and regulatory requirements
- Familiarity with harness manufacturing processes and materials, particularly for lightweight and high-performance applications
- Strong teamwork skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative environment
Nice to have
- Experience with HV and LV wiring harnesses for electric or hybrid hypercars
- Knowledge of simulation tools for electrical and thermal analysis
- Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (e.g., CAN, LIN, Ethernet)
- Knowledge of or experience with IPC/WHMA-A-620 standards for cable and wire harness assemblies
