www.abb.com/roboticsIn this position you will have an exciting role in the Robotics R&D function in Västerås, Sweden. In the mechanics test team, we are responsible for test and verification of future and improved products in the mechanics domain.
You will collaborate closely with a specialized test team of 8-10 people as well as with project leaders, design engineers and specialists from various domains. Within the team we make sure our products meet all defined quality standards. We also perform necessary measurements for the product specification. High quality is a key, both in our products and way of working and we continuously improve tools and methods. Safety is on top of the agenda.
Your responsibilities
Planning and execution of robot tests according to agreed test standards
Analysis of test results and documentation in reports
Identify failures and propose solutions
Apply and improve tools and methods for computer based and manual measurements, data acquisition, etc.
Support and coordinate external certifications
Drive a safe work environment and way of working
Your background
You have an HVE-education (Yrkeshögskola) within relevant area, or a university degree within Mechanics, Mechatronics or Robotics with a solid interest in hands-on practice
We believe you have a couple of years of experience from Robotics products or similar. For example within R&D, customer applications or service.
Programming skills are advantageous (for example RAPID, Matlab, Python)
You are fluent in English (and preferably Swedish), both verbal and written.
You are structured and solution oriented with a collaborative mindset
